JOB SUMMARY

Minimum of a B.Sc. degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related disciplineMBA or Master’s degree in a related discipline is an advantageRelevant professional certifications e.g. CFA, ICAN, ACCA or its equivalentMinimum of ten (10) years relevant experience, 5 of which must have been in a senior role of an organization, interfacing with the Executive team and Financial PartnersKnowledge of Financial management, accounting, analysis and reportingKnowledge of Accounting policies and processesKnowledge of ERP Accounting applicationNumerical and analytical skillsPrior Experience in the Banking Sector is highly preferredCandidates should be based in South-South/South-East RegionOn behalf of our client, a leading Indigenous Oil & Gas company, we are recruiting for the role of Treasury Manager. The Treasury Manager oversees operational treasury management and ensures compliance with the organisation's established policies and procedures. He/She manages the organisation's foreign exchange exposures, loan portfolio, and related reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports of the organisation ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Assist to develop and implement treasury strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize cash management, liquidity, and working capital.Monitor and manage the organisation's cash flow, ensuring efficient utilization of funds and adherence to budgetary guidelines.Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions, negotiating banking services and managing banking relationships.Develop and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including regulatory organizations in the downstream sector, auditors, solicitors, and other relevant entities.Review funding needs, monthly reporting of all treasury activities to senior managementDevelop and implement strategies for raising capital, including debt and equity financing.
