Job Description

  • Diagnosis and Repair: Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in tractors. Perform necessary repairs, replacements, and adjustments to ensure proper functioning.
  • Routine Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication, to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment lifespan.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical problems in tractor systems. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Provide accurate and timely reports to management on equipment status and repair history.
  • Parts Management: Manage and maintain an organized inventory of spare parts. Order and source necessary parts for repairs and replacements.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on tractors. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations to guarantee a safe working environment.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to understand reported issues, explain repair processes, and provide estimates for services. Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to share knowledge, solve complex problems, and ensure efficient workflow within the maintenance team.
  • Training and Development: Stay updated on the latest advancements in tractor technology and attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure the timely resumption of tractor operations.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 2 - 5 years relevant work experience.
