Position Overview

We are currently looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our Post Contract team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our post-contract activities, focusing on cost estimation and financial management
The ideal candidate will work closely with senior team members to ensure accurate project cost control and contribute to the success of our construction projects.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior team members to support post-contract activities, including valuation of work done, variation assessments, and final account settlements.
Utilize your expertise to assist in the preparation and analysis of project cost reports, including cost forecasts and cash flow projections.
Conduct thorough site visits and measurements to gather crucial data for cost estimation and progress evaluation.
Contribute to the preparation of bills of quantities and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
Employ your analytical skills to interpret drawings, specifications, and other project documentation for precise quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
Maintain meticulous records of project expenditures and cost allocations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Establish effective communication channels with contractors and subcontractors to obtain the necessary documentation and information for cost evaluation.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying and cost estimation.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, NIQS / QSRN
7 to 10 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
Proficiency in quantity take-off techniques and cost estimation software.
Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with Nigerian construction standards and regulations is advantageous.
Professional certification or membership with relevant industry bodies is preferred.
