Position Overview
- We are currently looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our Post Contract team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our post-contract activities, focusing on cost estimation and financial management
- The ideal candidate will work closely with senior team members to ensure accurate project cost control and contribute to the success of our construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior team members to support post-contract activities, including valuation of work done, variation assessments, and final account settlements.
- Utilize your expertise to assist in the preparation and analysis of project cost reports, including cost forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Conduct thorough site visits and measurements to gather crucial data for cost estimation and progress evaluation.
- Contribute to the preparation of bills of quantities and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Employ your analytical skills to interpret drawings, specifications, and other project documentation for precise quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
- Maintain meticulous records of project expenditures and cost allocations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Establish effective communication channels with contractors and subcontractors to obtain the necessary documentation and information for cost evaluation.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying and cost estimation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, NIQS / QSRN
- 7 to 10 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
- Proficiency in quantity take-off techniques and cost estimation software.
- Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Nigerian construction standards and regulations is advantageous.
- Professional certification or membership with relevant industry bodies is preferred.
