Job Description

  • You will be responsible for conducting various construction material tests on-site to ensure they comply with project specifications and industry standards.
  • You will play a vital role in supporting quality control and contributing to the success of construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, prepare, and test soil, asphalt, and concrete samples according to FDD Foundation Design Data and relevant construction standards.
  • Perform field tests to assess material properties such as permeability and strength.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing procedures and results.
  • Input test data into computer systems and generate reports.
  • Assist with the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment according to laboratory safety protocols.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc or HND in Civil Engineering, Geography, Geology, Soil Science or relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a construction laboratory setting.
  • Proven experience in conducting soil, asphalt, and concrete testing.
  • Strong understanding of FDD Foundation Design Data and relevant construction codes and standards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and laboratory software.
