JOB SUMMARY

The ideal candidate must be able to lead a team by providing budgetary and accountancy support to all Directorates and ensure effective operation of workactivities.Skills and RequirementsB.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Management with ACA/FCA is requiredMinimum of 10 years experience in a managerial position is preferredProficient use of Microsoft Office Suite / ERP Tally, Odoo, Sage or Quickbooks Accounting PackageMust have in-depth knowledge of Tax matters.Must possess leadership, analytical, mathematical and problem solving skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage all activities of the accounting department and allocate duties to ensure that all tasks are completed within prescribed timescales.Ensure the Treasury Management and Banking functions operate in accordance with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements.Manage and monitor accounting procedures for compliance with all state and federal regulations,coordinate and facilitate external audit requirements.Arrange and conduct training on accountancy or financial systems issues as required.Provide guidance to other Accountants when needed.Manage Complex reconciliations of income.Reviewand analyzeGL accounts, Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation in addition to prepare month end Journal entries.Contribute to the preparation of the annual revenue and capital budgets, monitoring of financial performance and completion of the annual accounts.Streamlineoperational and administrative support functions by implementing changes to improve internal controls, save time and increase work productivity.Carry out any other duties that are within the scope and grading of the position
