Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited (AFSH) was established in 2002 to produce high-quality Day-Old Chicks and Point of Cage Pullets. Our Objective Our objective is to produce and deliver healthiest chicks with maximum potential for growth, optimal feed conversion rate and highest number of eggs from state-of-the-art production facilities by using special insemination techniques
JOB SUMMARY
Educational Qualifications and Experience First Degree or its equivalent in Business Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related fields Minimum of 3 years experience in import and export operation or related field. Experience dealing with government agencies such as custom authorities is beneficial Excellent verbal and written commuinications skills are required for effectively liasing with suppliers , customers and other stakeholders, as well as preparing documentation andreports. A sound knowledge of international trade regulations and customs-clearing processes. High negotiation and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with MS Office and other computer software related to this field.Required Competencies: Regulatory Compliance Documentation Management Logistics Cordination Problem Solving Communication Analytical Skills Attention to Details Team Work & Collaboration
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Purpose The import/export assistant manager has a critical role in our organization and is responsible for overseeing the import of products from our international suppliers and partners, work with a team of professionals to ensure that all imports/exports are handled efficiently and in compliance with international and domestic regulations. Responsible for managing the import process from start to finish, from working with suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as extensive experience in international trade and customs regulationsRole and Duties Coordination of import/export activities, including customs clearance and documentation Development of policies and procedures concerning import/export Monitoring and analyzing import/export data to identify compliance issues and take corrective actions Constantly updating and maintaining import/export database Closely monitoring and reporting on international trade trends and developments. Liaise with freight forwarders and other third parties to ensure timely and accurate import/export process and paperwork. Negotiation of contracts with vendors and customers. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to imports and exports. Develop and maintain good relationships with foreign governments, customs authorities and other relevant regulatory agencies Prepare and submit required periodic reports to both internal and external stakeholders
