We are seeking experienced Field Aviation Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the Supply Chain department at Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited. 

 

The Field Aviation Supervisor is a key role within the Supply Chain department, responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of aviation operations related to the company's supply chain activities. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of personnel and materials via air transport, contributing to the overall success of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited's operational objectives.

What role you will play in our team

 

  • Provide supervisory oversight for all aviation operations and contracts within MPN’s operations.
  • Ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely operation of all MPN aviation assets to meet business needs and support onshore and offshore operations.
  • The role will be primarily located in QIT terminal, Eket, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
What you will do

 

  • Aviation Operations Oversight: Manage and supervise day-to-day aviation operations, including flight scheduling, coordination, and execution, to ensure adherence to safety standards and operational efficiency.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and industry standards, conducting regular safety audits and implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain a secure aviation environment. Engaging with internal stakeholders, other oil companies, regulators, service providers, air traffic control agency and Mobil Producing Aviation Services to improve the safety of the aviation operation.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with aviation service providers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships to ensure the availability of reliable and cost-effective air transportation services.
  • Resource Planning: Coordinate with relevant departments to forecast aviation resource requirements, ensuring optimal allocation of aircraft, crew, and ground support personnel.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets related to aviation operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or operational effectiveness.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response plans for aviation incidents, working closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure a swift and effective response.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations, licensing requirements, and aviation standards, ensuring the company's adherence to all applicable guidelines.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and assess the performance of aviation operations, making data-driven decisions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensuring all aviation operations are conducted in full compliance with ExxonMobil Aircraft Operations Guide (AOG)
About you

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Aviation Engineering and/or Aviation Sciences, or related disciplines
  • Airline transport Pilot License (Helicopters) with minimum of 10 years commercial pilot experience
  • Management skills with prior experience as a unit Flight Safety Officer, Training Captain or Chief Pilot in a global aviation company.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of aviation regulatory and guidance requirements, including NCAA, ICAO, and IOGP
  • Have strong knowledge of the CAP437 and Annex 14 related to heliports and offshore helidecks.
  • Must have good knowledge of management of helidecks ad inspections assurance process for the identification of hazards and non-conformity against the applicable standards.
  • Significant experience in an aircraft operating company within the West African Region with strong knowledge of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of aircraft operation and support, as well as an understanding of the commercial and legislative aspects of aviation
  • Possess a good knowledge of aviation quality and safety management systems and their effective application.
  • Be able to assess logistics risk exposure and implement mitigation actions to As Low As Reasonably racticable (ALARP)
  • Be capable of developing and implementing operational aviation policies and procedures.
  • Have experience in managing and assessing logistics performance (Material and People movements, supporting Field Services) and be able to identify & implement improvement opportunities.
  • Experience in Contract Management of Aviation Contracts.
  • Have experience in planning and directing the provision of technical and support services (including Training, Aviation Fuel Quality Control, Helideck / Heliport operations and airport security)
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance management methods and technical proficiency, continuing airworthiness management and maintenance quality control.
