Our client is a full-service event design, consultation, and management company. Due to expansion, they need a STRATEGIC MANAGER
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for all events, aligning them with client objectives, company goals, and industry best practices.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify market trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for innovation and expansion in event management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their event requirements, and expectations, and providing feedback.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships and repeat business opportunities.
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, scheduling, and logistics.
- Work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of events.
- Develop event budgets, track expenses, and monitor financial performance to ensure events are delivered within budget constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate vendor contracts, and optimize budget allocation for maximum ROI.
- Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate any disruptions to event operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, insurance requirements, and other legal considerations for event management.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the event management team, including event coordinators, planners, and support staff.
- Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
- Monitor key performance indicators KPIs related to event success, client satisfaction, and team performance.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback from clients and stakeholders, and implement improvements based on lessons learned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Social Science, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience in event management, with a minimum of 5 years in a strategic leadership/ project management role
- Strong understanding of the event industry, market trends, and best practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in budgeting, financial management, and project management tools
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- Certification in event planning or project management is a plus
