Responsibilities
- Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
- Encode data directly from consumers or clients
- Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
- Verify data by comparing it to source documents
- Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Arrange travel and accommodations, and prepare vouchers
- Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
- Update existing data
- Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
- Manage and organize notes and documents
- Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
Requirements and skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 3- 5 year’s work experience as a Data entry receptionist, or a similar role
- Hands-on experience with office equipment e.g. fax machines and printers
- Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch-typing system is strongly preferred
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets MS Office Word, Excel, etc.
- Basic understanding of databases
- Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
- Analytical thinking skills.
