Job Description

The Librarian shall be the academic and administrative head of the polytechnic Library.
The Librarian shall be responsible to the Rector for the development Polytechnic library system.
The Librarian shall be responsible for the provision of bibliographic services to the academic community in the Polytechnic.
The Librarian shall provide academic services by way of effective teaching and research in library science towards library manpower production.

Requirements

The Librarian shall be a University graduate with relevant higher Degrees in Library Studies and with a minimum of ten 10 years cognate experience.
The Librarian must be computer literate.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates are expected to demonstrate intellectual and excellent conduct in discipline, integrity and sound judgment.
