Role Summary

  • We are looking to hire a Resourceful Civil Field Supervisor to oversee variety of projects and supervise the on-site project team.
  • S/he ensures that work is completed timely, safely, and with quality. S/he ensures that all regulations are complied with.
  • S/he must have good team management and decision-making skills with the ability to maintain good stakeholder relationships that guarantee the smooth progress of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain a safe, productive work environment for all on-site workers.
  • Ensure that teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlines.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times on project site activities to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
  • Inspect materials that are delivered on-site to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Procure construction materials at the right time to ensure work is not hampered by materials shortage.
  • Supervise workmen to ensure that work is performed safely and timely whilst instituting disciplinary measures where needed
  • Performing equipment, material, and routine site inspections.
  • Maintain quality control throughout the project and ensure they are on schedule
  • Ensure proper documentation for report purposes
  • Analyse blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications
  • Recommend changes to construction operations or procedures as directed to increase efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, civil engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a site supervisor.
  • Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations.
  • Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
  • Capabilities interpreting blueprints is an essential requirement
  • Outstanding leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
