JOB SUMMARY

  • Minimum Educational Qualifications / Certifications / Years of Experience:
    • Minimum of OND or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field
    • Minimum of HSE level 1 professional certifications
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant field
    • Excellent knowledge of shipping operations
    • Certification in industrial automotive maintenance
    • Experience with 'Bromma' Spreader preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Spreader Technician is accountable for maintaining the spreaders, involving routine checks, troubleshooting, and repair of various port equipment like Quay Crane (QC), Rubber Tyre Gantry (RTG), Mobile Equipment (ME), & Spreader, ensuring optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.

Duties:

  • Carries out repairs/maintenance as instructed by the Supervisor following OEM specifications
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots cranes to identify faults/damage
  • Procures spare parts for repairs and maintenance
  • Prepares progress and completion reports for work done
  • Adheres to safety requirements while executing maintenance procedures
  • Attends weekly safety training sessions
  • Utilizes personal protective equipment
  • Works collaboratively with other technicians and supervisors
  • Takes ownership of performance utilizing the TICT performance management system
  • Attends and maximizes training opportunities for performance & development
  • Supports the induction of new team members
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
