The Project Director III/Chief of Party COP will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of a USAID-funded health information system and digitization project in Nigeria. This role plays a crucial part in driving digital health initiatives, enhancing data management, and improving healthcare delivery through innovative technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide direction for the project.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including USAID, government agencies, and partners.
- Ensure project goals and timelines are achieved.
Health Information System:
- Design, implement, and manage health information systems across different healthcare levels.
- Ensure data security, interoperability, and quality of digital health platforms.
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of electronic health record systems, mobile health apps, and other digital tools.
Capacity Building:
- Train project staff and healthcare workers on using digital health systems effectively.
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with government ministries, NGOs, and private sector partners.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, policymakers, and end-users.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Monitor project progress and evaluate impact.
- Implement quality assurance measures.
Financial Management:
- Manage project budgets and resources efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with regulations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong management, communication, and organization skills are required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Education & Experience:
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Project Management Certification preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant project management experience.
- Experience in leading complex projects in challenging environments.
- Experience working with NGOs.
Physical Demands:
- Typical office environment.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work on a computer for long hours.
Technology Used:
- Standard office equipment, personal computer, Microsoft applications, and mobile technology.
