JOB SUMMARY

Must Have Skills Minimum academic qualification of a Fellowship degree at either West African College of Surgeons or National Postgraduate medical college or relevant qualification. 5 to 7 years relevant work experience preferably in the Health sector. Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of a residency program in Ophthalmology. Member of ophthalmology society of Nigeria both local and national. Proficiency in utilizing advanced ophthalmic equipment and surgical techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively in a team environment.Good to Have Skills: Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people management skills. Possess high degree of accuracy and attention to details. Knowledge of the Microsoft office package.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Role This role is responsible for clinical, managerial, financial aspects and clinical governance of the department. You will provide delivers specialized eye care and provides expert ophthalmic advice. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ophthalmologist to join our prestigious practice.What will you be doing Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose eye conditions, and prescribe appropriate treatment plans. Perform surgeries including cataract removal, LASIK, corneal transplants, and other specialized procedures as needed. Provide expert consultations to patients, offering guidance on eye health, surgical options, and potential treatment plans. Collaborate effectively with our multidisciplinary team including optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on advancements in ophthalmology, attend conferences, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the practice.
