JOB SUMMARY

  • Educational Qualifications, Experience & Requirements Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience of at least 5 years in cost accounting or related roles within the manufacturing or consumer goods industry. A master's degree is an added advantage. Professional certificates is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting. Solid understanding of accounting principles and cost control concepts. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As the Cost Accountant at ReelFruit, you will be pivotal in overseeing and evaluating the company's costs to ensure efficient financial planning and control. Collaborate with different teams for data analysis, assess cost variances, and offer recommendations for operational enhancement.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed product cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and enhanced profitability.
  • Variance Analysis: Monitor and analyze cost variances, providing explanations for discrepancies between actual and budgeted costs.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Aid in creating annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring precise financial projections.
  • Inventory Management: Work with the inventory team to review and analyze inventory levels for accuracy and improvement areas.
  • Process Improvement: Recognize and implement process enhancements in cost accounting procedures to boost financial operations efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, including COGS analysis, and present insights to management.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements in cost accounting.
