JOB SUMMARY

Expertise RequiredWe are looking for resourceful, dynamic, and proactive individual with good interpersonal and communication skills and the following desired qualifications: University Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field At least 5 years of relevant professional experience relevant to the assignment Proven experience working with Civil Society and government partners in Nigeria. Prior experience supporting donor-funded governance projects is an asset Prior experience with the implementation of EU funded projects and/or proven experience with the EU communications and visibility requirements is an assetThe Communication Specialist must also demonstrate the following competencies: Excellent communication skills – oral and written. Effective project management, administrative, organisation and time management skills Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite of software. Ability to work effectively as a team player in a dynamic environment. Ability to work effectively at all levels in an organisation. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Superior attitude - flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of non-routine tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Scope of the Specific AssignmentIn this light, the project is looking at the possibility of engaging a junior expert to coordinate the communication and visibility activities within Component 1 and the wider programme: Expected activities include (subject to change): Contributing to newsletters Producing brief reports on activities Overseeing and guiding the work of dedicated Media company already engaged to produce relevant outputs for EU SDGN II Coordinate coverage of project activities Make creative inputs for conceptualisation and design of relevant materials Maintain a repository of communication and visibility outputs
