Duties

  • Support the Commercial and Billing team by overseeing the management, analysis, and reporting of billing and revenue data linked to logistics activities.
  • Offer valuable insights into the financial status of operations, spotting trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Keep accurate documentation and records of invoices, contracts, and other billing-related paperwork.
  • Systematically organize and store documents for easy retrieval.
  • Identify incoming payments and correctly record them as receivables.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients through emails, phone calls, and visits to chase outstanding payments.
  • Track client payment behaviors, follow up on unpaid invoices, and settle any billing disagreements promptly.
  • Produce analytical reports based on revenue, receivables, and bad debts to aid decision-making processes.

Qualifications

  • Holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field with at least second class upper honors from a reputable university.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep precise records and documentation.
  • Effective and professional communication skills with clients and internal team members.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • A track record of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, with at least two-three years of post-NYSC experience as a Junior Accountant.
