JOB SUMMARY

  • First Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in Tax Practice with expertise in tax research and advisory
  • Membership of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) required
  • Additional membership in professional bodies like ICAN or ACCA is advantageous
  • Postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Taxation is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of tax policies, legislation, and regulations
  • Deep understanding of taxation laws, administration practices, and industry trends
  • Working knowledge of SAP is beneficial
  • Financial and illustrative modeling skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Analytical thinking and conceptualization abilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

If you're a tax expert seeking a challenging role in tax planning and transfer pricing, this opportunity is for you Join our team at Dangote Industries Limited as a Tax Specialist. In this role, you will be tasked with devising and overseeing tax planning strategies for our Corporate Headquarters and subsidiaries. You'll also ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and provide essential support to various business initiatives, contract reviews, and tax-efficient structuring. Reporting to the Tax Director, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic planning of contractual obligations and transactions for tax optimization
  • Regular review of Transfer Pricing Policy in alignment with tax regulations
  • Supervising transfer pricing matters and liaising with stakeholders for support
  • Preparing transfer pricing documentation for intra-group transactions
  • Assisting in transfer pricing audits and compliance actions
  • Compiling Country-by-Country reporting and notifications
  • Conducting tax research and staying abreast of international tax laws
  • Providing tax advisory for operational efficiency and new business ventures
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and risks in contracts
  • Participating in project planning and offering tax insights
  • Ensuring tax compliance processes and updating tax-related procedures
  • Providing technical support for tax litigation and appeals
  • Keeping Business Units informed of tax and regulatory changes
  • Managing the annual budget for the Tax department
  • Conducting tax trainings and meetings for the Group tax team
