Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Procurement:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers of soya beans and crude oil.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
- Monitor market trends and commodity prices to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best possible terms for the company.
Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the production and supply chain teams to manage inventory levels of soya beans and crude oil.
- Ensure the timely delivery of materials to prevent production delays.
- Monitor stock levels and forecast demand to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all purchased materials meet the company's quality standards.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to maintain high-quality procurement practices.
Cost Management:
- Develop and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
- Monitor and report on procurement expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to the procurement of agricultural and crude commodities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities, contracts, and supplier agreements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in procurement, specifically in sourcing agricultural commodities such as soya beans and crude oil.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to forecast and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Knowledge of market trends and regulatory requirements in the FMCG sector.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
