ICSS Supervisor sought to support control system operations in Nigeria.

SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for an ICSS Supervisor to join its workforce in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists the planning team by providing technical support for job preparation.
  • Supports specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts SMC.
  • Ensures COMPANY HSE regulations are respected, particularly procedures related to work permits and approved operating procedures.
  • Enters intervention reports in the CMMS and writes technical reports related to the field.
  • Monitors the functioning of utilities and equipment systems under responsibility.
  • Performs diagnostics and trouble shooting in the ICSS and PLC.
  • Follows-up parameter values and alarms in concerned systems for condition monitoring purposes.
  • Carries out interventions within the field of experience at the CSR request.

Methods:

  • Proposes relevant actions to improve performance and availability of control systems.
  • Warns support teams of recurring problems related to spare parts availability or quality.
  • Guarantees software produced for modification or corrective actions conforms to functional analysis.
  • Guarantees control system documentation is up to date.

Quality Assurance:

  • Verifies the quality of planning by frequent checks of supervisor reports in CMMS.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer A-levels + 5 years' study or Higher National Diploma or Certificate HND/HNC A-levels + 3 years' study or BTS/DUT or equivalent.
  • 5 years' experience in control system field and at least 3 years as control system specialist in petrochemical industry.
  • A knowledge of principles related to process and equipment of oil and gas treatment installations.
  • Specific professional knowledge: CMMS.
  • Ability to work in a large multinational team.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining good relations with colleagues and others.
  • Physical ability to work on offshore installations in climatic conditions of the site.
  • Proven sense of responsibility and talent for management.
  • Rigorous and methodical approach to operations.
  • Common sense and ability to anticipate and analyze.
  • Natural, flexible authority.
  • Experience in Subsea control systems preferred.
  • Detailed understanding of system architecture and networks.
  • Experience in PLC, Allen Bradley, Siemens, ladder logic systems, and related communication interfaces and Human Machine Interfaces HMI.
  • Experience in fire and gas monitoring systems.
