Job Summary:

Responsibilities

Fundraising and Donor Management:

  • Develop and execute ambitious fundraising strategies and programs with measurable goals.
  • Identify, cultivate, and steward prospective donors, including foundations, government agencies, corporate partners, and individuals.
  • Manage and oversee grant writing and proposal development processes.
  • Establish fundraising targets and monitor performance, ensuring annual fundraising goals are met or exceeded.
  • Maintain accurate grants management records and track deadlines, deliverables, and action items.
  • Communicate directly with existing funders in coordination with program teams, maintaining and strengthening these relationships.

Innovation and Technology:

  • Stay informed about the latest technological advancements relevant to the NGO sector.
  • Review and evaluate software applications and other technological solutions used in NGO projects.
  • Support the integration of innovative technologies to enhance project impact and efficiency.

Communication and Liaison:

  • Serve as a credible and compelling spokesperson for the company's mission, vision, and goals.
  • Communicate complex information clearly and assertively to diverse audiences, including donors, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Exhibit a high level of emotional and social intelligence to navigate the intricacies of donor relations and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, project management, and NGO operations,
  • with at least some experience in fundraising.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
  • Strong experience in managing donor funds and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High level of emotional and social intelligence, with the ability to build and maintain
  • relationships.
  • Broad understanding of innovation and the ability to grasp complex software quickly.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Age range, 33–39 years.

Person Specification:

  • Presentable and professional appearance.
  • Strong liaison and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with database software, CRM, and related tools.
  • Network in and/or exposure to working with corporate philanthropy, foundations, NGOs, and government agencies are preferred.
