JOB SUMMARY

A minimum of HND / B.Sc degree in Accounting from a reputable institution.A minimum of 2 years of experience as an accountant in a reputable Manufacturing industry is preferred.In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Awareness of business trendsFamiliarity with financial accounting statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processHands-on experience with accounting software packages, like QuickBooks and Sage 50.Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tablesAccuracy and attention to details

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage day-to-day financial operations of the depot, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Monitor depot expenses and budgets, and provide recommendations to control costs and enhance efficiency.Reconcile depot inventory records with physical counts and investigate discrepancies.Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure accurate recording of inventory movements and valuation.Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for the depot.
