Job Summary
- Ensure the entire refinery instrumentation systems installed in the units function efficiently to support operations and meet HSE, time, and cost targets.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and calibrations when necessary, running diagnostic tests on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Daily monitoring of installed instruments.
- Assist the lead Instrument/Electronic engineer with instrumentation maintenance tasks.
- Install and perform diagnostic tests on transmitters and final control elements.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as configure and repair.
- Document processes and maintain instrumentation service records.
- Ensure all Instrument maintenance is recorded and compiled in line with statutory regulations.
- Optimize efficiency by adjusting control valves, transmitters, and switch settings tunings, calibration.
- Document safe work procedures to support all the information of the processes and continuously optimize them.
- Ensure the correct operation of the safety instrumented functions SIF following the cause-and-effect matrix.
Educational Qualifications
- BSC/HND degree in Electrical/Electronic with good work experience in the field of Instrumentation.
- 3-5 years of instrumentation engineering experience in a refinery or similar operations, e. g. oil/gas sector
- Exhibit solid knowledge of electronic, instrumentation, control, and electrical performance standards and experience in a similar field of specialization.
- Relationship and communication skills.
- Innovative thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in diverse teams and clarify complex concepts.
- Result-oriented with proven zeal for delivery and execution.
- Proficiency in design and diagnostic testing software.
