JOB SUMMARY

  • Requirements
  • Educational Qualification: Degree in computer science or relevant technology field from a recognized university, preferably with an Engineering background.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Unix/Linux Engineer in relevant industries.
  • Skills and Knowledge required: SPARC Hardware, Solaris OS, Oracle Virtualizations, RedHat Linux, VMWare vSphere, vRCLI & vROPS, ARIA, High-end and Mid-range storages, Enterprise backup solutions, Veritas Cluster, system design with HA, patching, performance tuning, Ansible automation, scripting, Public Cloud experience.
  • Certifications: RedHat Linux, Solaris, VMWare, Storage, Backup products will be a plus.
  • Personal attributes: Strong analytical skills, problem management skills, dedication to service management, excellent communication skills.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Availability Management: Ensure services exceed defined service levels, maintain Solaris/Linux/VMWare infrastructure, design and optimize virtualized environments.
  • Performance Management and Quality of Service: Define and exceed performance levels, review performance regularly, and take proactive actions to avoid disruptions.
  • Change and Configuration Management: Manage changes in servers and applications within architecture guidelines.
  • Incident and Problem Management: Provide support for incidents and problems, manage services from vendors.
  • License Management: Manage all server infra licenses, ensure operation within defined measures, and renew licenses regularly.
  • Disaster Recovery: Responsible for disaster recovery of systems and data centers, provide data protection, recovery, and business continuity.
  • REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Mechanical drawings, Troubleshooting, Engineering
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree
