ABOUT THE COMPANY

Food Concepts Plc was incorporated on 6 December 1999 as Food Concepts & Entertainment Limited and commenced operations in 2000. The Company was converted from a Private Limited Liability Company into a Public Limited Liability Company and the Company's name was subsequently changed to Food Concepts Plc. by a Special Resolution dated 10 May 2009.

Following its incorporation, Food Concepts secured franchises from reputable South African Quick Service Restaurant operators to manage and operate their brands in Nigeria. The Company subsequently acquired and developed other Brands, such as, Chicken Republic, PieXpress, Butterfield, Yum Yum and The Chop Box.
Following a corporate restructuring and divestment, the Company now owns and operates the Chicken Republic, PieXpress and The Chop Box brands as its proprietary food brands.
Chicken Republic is currently trading in 129 locations across Nigeria and Ghana and has plans in place to operate 430 stores by the end of 2024.
PieXpress began trading in 2019 and we presently operate 48 stores in Nigeria, with plans in place to operate 247 PieXpress units by the end of 2024.
We recently launched our new brand, The Chop Box and presently have one outlet in Lagos.

JOB SUMMARY

A good first degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or related areas.Possession of a Master's degree in Business Administration or related degree is an added advantageMembership of ICAN, CIS, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or any other related professional qualification is required.Certifications in compliance will also be added advantageMinimum of 5-6 years' experience in a similar role, especially in the QSR/FMCG sectorKnowledge of legislations, its changes and developments as they affect the Food Industry,Knowledge of Fundamentals of AccountingKnowledge of Risk & Compliance standards or processesKnowledge of legal standards and in-house policiesKnowledge of reporting procedures and record keepingKnowledge of the QSR/Food Industry practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Risk & Compliance:Create, develop, and implement core regulatory compliance strategies, and ensure that they are monitored for every department and individual.Operate in a cross-functional manner to communicate regulatory testing requirements and monitor completion of submissions.Ensure that all company products comply with applicable regulations (federal and state), and any regions in which they are sold.Gather, analyse, and interpret technical data, and translate it correctly onto official regulatory submissionsProvide specialist advice on core matters concerning regulatory compliance, aiming to keep the company's products and services within the quality control circle.Maintain awareness of changing regulations for the company's products and assist with the proper registration of components.Investigate and record any complaints that may transpire due to non-compliance of regulations and take measures to ensure that it is not repeated.To educating the entire staff and institute practices that will ensure the highest possible level of compliance.Communicating compliance-related issues to employees across all divisions of the organization.Researches, implements, and manages the areas of banking regulations and laws, and food regulations, policies and procedures, consumer protection, and public interest laws.Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violationEducate and train employees on regulations and industry practicesAddress employee concerns or questions on legal complianceConfer with department heads to determine the type of service that they are providing, and the intensity of the compliance system that they will need.Ensure the company comply with all SEC requirements and filings on timely basis.Ensure the company Anti-Money Laundery and corruption policies are comply with in all internal and external dealings.Follow up with QEHS to ensure environmental audits is conducted as needed adherence to environmental standards.Follow up to ensure that appropriate regulatory reports is filed timely with the company's regulators.Ensure that all company products comply with applicable regulations (federal and state), and any regions in which they are sold.Gather, analyse, and interpret technical data, and translate it correctly into official regulatory submissionsPerform OSC across all CR stores and PX KiosksProvide specialist advice on core matters concerning regulatory compliance, aiming to keep the company's products and services within the quality control circle.Maintain awareness of changing regulations for the company's products and assist with the proper registration of components.Investigate and record any complaints that may transpire due to non-compliance of regulations and take measures to ensure that it is not repeated.Research, implement, and manage the areas of regulations and laws, and food regulations, policies and procedures, consumer protection, and public interest laws.Work closely with the Senior Compliance Manager in overseeing compliance procedures.Address employee concerns or questions on legal complianceConfer with department heads to determine the type of service that they are providing, and the intensity of the compliance system that they will need.Key Performance Indicators:Rate of compliance with applicable regulationsAchievement of sensitization on changing/evolving regulations on company products
