JOB SUMMARY

Requirements 2-5 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or operation of continuous casting machines. Strong understanding of caster components, mechanics, and hydraulics. Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods. Basic computer skills and knowledge of maintenance management software. High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering) preferred.Working Conditions: Work in a fast-paced industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, and hazardous materials. Wear PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, and heat-resistant suits. RESPONSIBILITIES

The Caster Fitter CCM is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of continuous casting machines, focusing on the caster segment. They will work closely with production teams to minimize downtime, optimize production, and improve product quality.Key Duties Maintain, repair, and replace caster components, including molds, tundishes, and nozzles. Perform routine inspections and adjustments to ensure proper caster alignment and function. Troubleshoot and resolve caster-related issues, collaborating with operators and maintenance teams. Assist in planning and executing scheduled maintenance shutdowns and upgrades. Develop and implement improvements to caster performance, quality, and safety. Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product quality and resolve defects. Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and operators. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and improvements. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
