ABOUT THE COMPANY
Buckler Systems Limited is a military equipment manufacturer located in Nigeria with strong expertise in the following:
1. Manufacture of Civilian Armoured Vehicles
2. Design, Prototyping and Manufacture of Military Vehicles
3. Manufacture of Ordnance Equipment
4. Turnkey/Engineering, Procurement and Construction contracts for Armoured Vehicle Plants.
Our vision is to be the largest manufacturer of tested and certified military equipment in Africa.
Each phase of our armouring process is quality checked and assured to ensure that we deliver nothing short of the best to our clients especially considering the fact that our primary mission is to keep them from arms way.
Our ability to create concepts, run them through the design stage and manufacturing prototypes is second to none.
With detailed understanding of the various roles that armoured vehicles play in protecting the lives of our clients and getting them out of arms way, we ensure that only the best ballistic materials are used on our vehicles; durable enough to stop penetration of projectiles and light-weight to ensure easy maneuverability.
Our vehicles that defeat Armour Piercing (AP/API) projectiles and other projectiles shot from assault rifles such as 5.56 X 45mm (AK 102) SS109 & M193, AK-47 & AK x 39mm), G3 & FAL (7.62 x 51mm), sub-machine guns (9 x 19mm), hand guns (.44 Magnum, .357 Magnum etc.), shotguns (12 Gauge), explosives and fire.
For enhanced stability and performance, suspension components are upgraded with heavy duty shock absorbers, sway bars, torsion bars and coil/leaf springs depending on the weight of armours added after full armouring to meet international standards.
We are registered with the Office of the National Security Adviser of Nigeria to facilitate End User Applications for our clients.
JOB SUMMARY
Planning, organizing, and supervision of manpower, resources, materials, and equipment required to execute work scopesProviding technical guidance and recommendation in accordance with relevant industry standards and best engineering practices.Liaise with Workshop Manager to update job schedule's route sheet, technical clarifications, update on job status and completion.Communicating job progress updates to management effectively, including anticipation of delays and disruption to schedules.Ensuring that production processes are in line with company and regulatory requirementsAccurately completing all necessary documentation for regulatory complianceOversee housekeeping, safety and security procedures that result in a safe and attractive environment, and reports unsafe, unhealthy or hazardous working conditions.Ensures the availability and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for techniciansMaintains inventories of stocks, tools, workshop equipment and other suppliesGives technical advice as required and prepares technical reports to line managerRegularly checking the machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflowImplementing relevant emergency response procedures during emergency situationsEnsure that repairs are performed in a professional manner and in accordance with industry accepted good practice.Prepare, supervise and control workshop activities, including the scheduling of work for technicians.Liaise with customers and diagnose customer concerns with equipment prior to being booked in for service and/or repairAssists with Interviews and recommends for employment suitable applicants for workshop rolesUpon completion of normal repairs and/or service, inspect and test vehicle with the Technician who completed the job to ensure the vehicle has been repaired and/or serviced in accordance with the customer's instructions and manufacturers guidelinesEnsure customers receive the best quality service by requiring that all jobs are completed correctly the first timeEnsure all client vehicles and manufactured products sold to clienys are presented back to the customer in a clean and presentable standard; most importantly that all items listed as intact on the vehicle checklist upon receipt of vehicle , are are intact at the oint of returnCheck and inspect that all tools are available and maintained in the correct place and that all equipment is in suitable working conditionMaintain a well trained workforce and supervise in-house training as required, to ensure the development and progress of all techniciansAssist toward keeping the workshop area clear, orderly and attractive in appearanceAssist in the coordinating overtime hoursCommunicating expectations to production team members, manging their performance during throughout their employment and evaluation their performance duringmid-year and year-end appraisalsMaintain a high degree of product knowledge on all Buckler's product offeringLiaising with the line manager or supervisor, reporting any issues, and making suggestions for improvement.Perform all other duties as assigned by the manager /or management in a professional and efficient manner.RequirementsCandidates should possess an HND qualification with 3 - 4 years relevant work experience.
