Responsibilities:

  • Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax efficiencies for clients. Provide strategic advice on corporate tax, international tax, transfer pricing, and other tax-related matters.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Prepare and review tax returns, filings, and disclosures for individuals, businesses, and entities. Conduct tax audits and respond to tax authorities' inquiries as needed.
  • Tax Advisory Services: Advise clients on tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and investments. Provide guidance on tax-efficient structuring, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and other business activities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters. Understand clients' business goals and challenges to provide tailored tax solutions and recommendations.
  • Tax Research and Analysis: Stay updated with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends. Conduct tax research, analysis, and interpretation to assess potential impacts on clients and develop proactive strategies.
  • Risk Management: Identify tax risks and exposures for clients and develop risk mitigation strategies. Review tax provisions, disclosures, and contingencies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Team Leadership and Mentoring: Lead and mentor junior tax consultants and team members, providing guidance, training, and support. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the tax department.
  • Client Education and Communication: Educate clients on tax-related issues, changes, and opportunities. Communicate complex tax concepts and recommendations clearly and effectively to clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field Master's degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax consulting, preferably in a professional services firm or tax advisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with tax planning, structuring, and advisory services for individuals and businesses.
  • Proficiency in tax software, financial modeling, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
