Seeking a seasoned Finance Controller to oversee financial and accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial insights to drive growth and profitability.

The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities within CIG Motors. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to senior management.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to establish financial targets.
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts and models to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to tax regulations and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as necessary.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Oversee cash flow planning and management to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Optimize the company's capital structure and financing strategies.

Cost Management:

  • Identify and implement cost control initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular reviews of expenditures and recommend cost-saving opportunities.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the team.

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives and contribute to the formulation of business strategies.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Act as a financial advisor to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of cognate experience in management finance, accounting and audit roles.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and local financial regulations.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems experience with Sage 300 or SAP preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices.
  • Proficient in financial reporting and analysis.
