Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Officer to join our team at Pally Food Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly workplace, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive a positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards
- Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with departments to integrate HSE into daily operations
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics
Key Performance Indicators KPIs:
- Incident Rate: Achieve a reduction in reportable incidents by 20% within the first year, and maintain a minimum of 10% annual reduction thereafter.
- Audit Compliance: Maintain an average audit score of 90% or higher, based on internal and external audits.
- Training Participation: Ensure 100% participation in mandatory HSE training programs for all employees.
- Environmental Performance: Reduce environmental incidents e.g., spills, waste management issues by 25% within the first year, and maintain a minimum of 10% annual reduction thereafter.
- HSE Culture Survey: Achieve an average score of 4.5/5 or higher on annual HSE culture surveys, indicating a positive and proactive safety culture.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the food processing or manufacturing industry
- Relevant certifications e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 14001 will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
