A fast-growing Cleantech company seeks a resourceful and passionate Solar Engineer to lead Solar PV solution deployments in remote and urban areas.

**Job Summary:**

As a Solar Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the deployment of Solar PV solutions, ensuring project execution, and developing technical project due diligence and engineering design review.

  • • Develop scope of works for solar projects and collaborate with the Engineering Design team to create construction design packages and supporting documentation.
  • • Identify job site hazards and develop safety management plans to ensure a safe working environment.
  • • Plan and procure necessary project resources for implementation.
  • • Supervise installations to maintain high standards and compliance with best practices for solar installations.
  • • Maintain up-to-date project/site documents and collaborate with Management to improve company processes.
  • • Participate in commissioning test reports and perform reporting functions to Management, including weekly site reports.

**Requirements:**

  • • BSc or HND in engineering (civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical) or similar technical degree.
  • • Membership of relevant professional bodies (Nigeria Society of Engineers, COREN).
  • • Completed training/certifications in Solar PV project design and implementation.
  • • 5+ years of experience as a project manager, field engineer, or project engineer in the Solar PV space.
  • • Experience as a project manager with responsibility for management of project budget, schedule, engineering performance, construction performance, commissioning performance, quality performance, and safety performance.
  • • At least 2 years of engineering management of project teams.
  • • Demonstrated experience in safety-focused work environments.

  • • Strong contract administration and construction risk management skills.
  • • Strong demonstrated experience in management of change and cost control of projects.

  • • Ability to represent the company with integrity and professionalism.
  • • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite and other Project Management Software.
  • • Familiarity with the use of Solar PV design software, such as HOMER and Helioscope.
