Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to lead our construction projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality results.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing purchasing strategies to reduce costs and simplify processes.
  • Purchasing materials and services that meet our quantity and quality requirements.
  • Negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers for optimal pricing terms.
  • Exploring innovative materials for design and cost reduction.
  • Ensuring subcontractors and suppliers provide proof of product insurance coverage.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes and local construction regulations.
  • Producing reports and statistics using computer software.
  • Contributing to our quality control program.
  • Utilizing technology, safety precautions, and information exchange to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Managing change order requests and anticipating future needs.
  • Managing materials and equipment inventory.
  • Maintaining and implementing project construction forms and budgets.
  • Creating job specifications, estimating demand, and resolving invoicing disputes.
  • Issuing purchase orders for materials and equipment.
  • Ensuring budget compliance and analyzing variances.

Requirements:

  • Quantity Surveying or relevant Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Teamwork and effective communication.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
