Job Summary

  • We are looking for a committed and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team.
  • The HSE Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and management of health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations and the well-being of our team, customers, and surroundings.

Key Responsibilities

HSE Strategy and Compliance:

  • Establish, execute, and uphold the company's HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Guarantee adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal HSE regulations and industry norms.
  • Stay updated on emerging HSE trends and regulatory modifications, and adjust company policies accordingly.

Safety Programs and Training:

  • Create and lead safety training programs for staff, focusing on secure work practices.
  • Examine accidents and incidents to pinpoint root causes and apply corrective measures to prevent recurrences.
  • Promote safety awareness and involvement across the organization to foster a forward-thinking safety culture.

Environmental Management:

  • Supervise environmental initiatives like waste management, emissions control, and sustainability drives.
  • Track and report environmental performance, and strive to lessen the company's environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to embed sustainable practices in the production process.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Perform risk assessments and hazard analyses to recognize potential safety and environmental threats.
  • Devise strategies to minimize identified risks and hazards.
  • Establish emergency response plans to handle potential incidents.

Regulatory Reporting and Documentation:

  • Compile and submit all necessary HSE reports, permits, and paperwork to regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain precise records of safety incidents, inspections, and compliance data.
  • Work alongside regulatory agencies during assessments and examinations.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive ongoing enhancement in HSE through data analysis and best practice dissemination.
  • Initiate measures to curtail workplace injuries, illnesses, and environmental impacts.

Qualifications

  • BS in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) is advantageous.
  • 10 – 15 years of experience in the field.
  • Prior experience as an HSE Manager in manufacturing or beverage production, preferably in the alcoholic beverage sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a knack for engaging employees at all levels.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HSE management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated dedication to environmental sustainability and corporate accountability.
