Job Summary: Security Officer responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and employees, responding to emergencies, and conducting investigations.

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Patrolling all areas of the property to ensure a safe and secure environment
  • Assisting guests with room access and responding to emergencies
  • Monitoring Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system
  • Locking property entrances when required and conducting daily physical hazard inspections
  • Responding to accidents, contacting EMS or administering first aid/CPR as required
  • Assisting guests/employees during emergency situations and notifying appropriate individuals
  • Defusing guest/employee disturbances and calling for outside assistance if necessary
  • Completing incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents
  • Handling all interruptions and complaints and resolving safety hazard situations
  • Escorting any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation
  • Reporting to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts and calling for assistance using proper code responses
  • Completing a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report and maintaining confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents
  • Conducting investigations and gathering evidence, as well as conducting interviews with relevant parties

Additionally, you will be expected to:

  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs and assist individuals with disabilities
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language and prepare and review written documents accurately and completely
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team to reach common goals
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • No license or certification required
