Job Summary:

  • The Accounts Manager will oversee and manage all day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
  • He/She will develop and implement systems for collecting, recording, posting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Accounting Operations: Plan, implement, and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Financial Document Management: Ensure all accounting and financial related documents are well captured, stored, and managed.
  • Financial Analysis: Monitor and analyze accounting data, ensuring accuracy and timely postings.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Cash Management: Oversee the management of cash within the organization, ensuring proper accounting and reconciliation.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Ensure that all bank accounts are properly reconciled and analyzed daily.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Oversee the management of fixed assets, ensuring proper receipt, registration, depreciation, and accounting.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that all assets are adequately accounted for, and inventory levels are properly managed.
  • Audit Preparation: Ensure that the team is ready for the annual audit process, and coordinate engagements with auditors.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure that all tax obligations are met in a timely manner, including VAT, WHT, and CIT.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and present annual, monthly, and weekly budgets, and forecast future cash requirements.
  • Management Reporting: Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to management.
Requirements:
  • Education: B.Sc and MBA/MSc with ICAN/ACCA certification.
  • Experience: Proven experience in manufacturing companies, with a minimum of 8 years of experience as an accountant.
  • Skills: Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as hands-on experience with ERP systems.
  • Leadership: Experience managing a team of accountants, with a strong understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Financial Knowledge: Good knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, as well as corporate finance and budgeting.
