Job Brief;
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to act as the internal legal advisor for our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide strategic legal guidance, advice and support to the organization. The candidate will play a crucial role in mitigating legal risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, to various departments and business units within the organization.

Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contractual matters.
Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents with clients, vendors, and other parties.
Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents to support business activities.
Identify legal risks and issues, and develop strategies to mitigate and resolve them.
Assist with corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, managers, and other departments, to address legal issues and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and meetings with external parties.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company's operations and advise on potential implications.
Develop and deliver legal training and education programs for employees on relevant legal topics.
Maintain accurate and organized legal records, documents, and databases.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Law; JD or LLB preferred
10yrs of experience as a Legal Counsel
Licensed attorney with a valid bar membership
Proven experience as a Legal Counsel or similar role, preferably in a Real Estate environment.
Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to non-legal stakeholders.
Negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
