Audit Trainee Job Description

Audit trainee provides leadership and perform audit assessments on behalf of management over the effectiveness of internal control over operational processes, financial reporting, application controls, and IT general controls).

Audit Trainee Duties & Responsibilities
Follow a tailored training program and be coached by your seniors and managers in order to gain technical expertise on accounting norms and the Luxembourgish legal environment (banks, OPC…)

Develops a working knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to jurisdictions and how to ensure correct and consistent application
Help our clients manage risk and uncertainty from the boardroom to the network
Specialize in auditing IT infrastructure and application controls, assessing and diagnosing complex security solutions, designing risk management frameworks, and assisting our clients in the definition of sustainable security governance and processes
Advise our clients to achieve their governance and risk management objectives
Gain in autonomy and play an increasing role in client interactions
Gain hands-on experience and build a wide variety of business knowledge by assisting in external audits for our clients, a statutory requirement for all companies, providing an examination of their financial records to ensure that the accounts are "true and fair"
Use our proven methodologies and high-performance analysis tools to review systems and processes

Responsibilities for audit trainee
Under supervision, develop detailed test procedures that address audit objectives and significant risks
Interpret and evaluate audit evidence
Document work performed with logical conclusions and appropriate audit evidence and support
Present audit results, both in written and verbal formats
Develops knowledge and skill in auditing technical reviews from physical audits
Develops knowledge and skill in interacting with customers to answer questions and encourage the return of completed audits
Learns to identify opportunities to resolve discrepancies
Develops knowledge and skill for serving as initial audit dispute review
Develops knowledge and skill in handling and clearing bureau inquiries
Develops knowledge and skill in providing effective customer service throughout the life cycle of Premium Audit functions
Qualifications for audit trainee
Initial Test of Competence
You communicate confidently in French, Italian and English
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 for engineering majors OR cumulative GPA of 3.0 for non-engineering majors
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree from an accredited university to be completed prior to hire OR have obtained a degree within the past three (3) years
Less than three (3) years of work experience in a professional work environment
Previous work experience in related field
