Role Summary:

To provide transportation and dispatch services to departments, staff, and partners of the Company.

Responsibilities:
• Drive in professional capacity and competence any vehicle of Sambus assigned for the performance of the company’s work or duties
• Care for and maintain any vehicle assigned
• Report any abnormality, damage, loss or theft of any vehicle or its parts to the HC/Admin & Operations Manager within 24 hours
• Drive any vehicle or any staff to any destination for the performance of Sambus’ work or duties as directed by the HC/Admin & Operations Manager or her representative
• Provide general operational support services to staff during assignments and Programmes
• Pick-up and deliver dispatches, letters, and packages up to and including confidential documents to/from various banks/institutions
• Adhere to vehicle schedule of events and assist the Department to coordinate staff and executive movements
• Ensure all vehicles are safe and ready to be used.
• Ensure that the pool cars are always kept in good mechanical condition.
• Perform routine preventive checks regularly (rotation of tyres, checking oil and water levels, keeping battery water at proper level,
ensuring oil is changed and autos are lubricated as required).
• Maintain and update records on each vehicle
• Ensure all vehicle logs are duly completed (i.e. trip logs, motor vehicle accident forms and petrol logs are in each vehicle).
• Assist the HC &Admin in the purchase of new vehicles by obtaining quotes, test driving and negotiations with dealerships.

Skills:
• Defensive practical driving skills
• Knowledge of driving theory (road signs, markings, etc)
• Knowledge and use of English language
• Knowledge of GPS use and Rotes
• Valid Driving License
