We are looking for a talented Web and App Developer to join our TV and media house team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in WordPress development and experienced in building websites and mobile applications that support broadcasting, live streaming and digital audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities
-Design, develop and maintain websites and mobile apps that enhance our TV and media platforms.
-Build and customize WordPress websites, themes and plugins to support news publishing, video-on-demand and streaming.
-Work closely with editorial, production and IT teams to integrate broadcast content into digital platforms.
-Develop APIs, databases and back-end systems to manage multimedia content.
-Ensure high performance, security and scalability of web and app platforms.
-Optimize user experience (UI/UX) across web, mobile and connected devices.
-Troubleshoot technical issues quickly to avoid downtime in live broadcasting.
-Support digital campaigns, audience interaction tools and multimedia features.
-Stay up to date with emerging technologies relevant to media and broadcasting.

Qualifications & Skills
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
-Proven experience as a Web and App Developer in a TV station, media house or digital news environment.
-Strong expertise in WordPress development (custom themes, plugins, integrations).
-Front-end development skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React, Angular or Vue).
-Back-end development experience in PHP, Node.js, or Python.
-Mobile app development knowledge (Flutter, React Native, Swift or Kotlin).
-Database skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
-Familiarity with live streaming integration, video hosting and digital publishing workflows.
-Strong knowledge of SEO, security best practices and performance optimization.
-Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Preferred Attributes
-Experience building apps/websites that deliver live TV, video-on-demand and news updates.
-Familiarity with broadcast software, newsroom content management systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
