Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to join our audit team as an Auditor. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing expert financial advice. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting standards, audit practices, and the ability to deliver high-quality results within strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough and accurate audits of financial statements and records in compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards.
Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations for mitigating financial and operational risks.
Prepare detailed audit reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and conclusions.
Communicate effectively with clients to discuss audit issues, financial matters, and concerns.
Assist in planning and executing audits, including evaluating internal controls and testing compliance with laws and regulations.
Ensure compliance with the relevant tax laws and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, etc.).
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business operations and challenges.
Collaborate with senior auditors and management to provide insights on financial performance and compliance issues.
Stay updated on industry changes, new regulations, and emerging auditing practices.
Lead and mentor junior audit staff, reviewing their work and providing guidance and support.
Contribute to the development of audit strategies and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) from a recognized accounting body (e.g., etc.).
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in an audit role within a public accounting firm or similar environment.
Experience with auditing financial statements and understanding complex accounting standards.
Familiarity with financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
In-depth knowledge of auditing principles, techniques, and standards.
High proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Certifications:
Chartered Accountant qualification (essential).
Additional certifications in auditing or taxation (e.g., CISA, CIA) are a plus.
