Job Overview
The Fundraising Managers for Santos Creations Educational Foundation (SCEF), NESA Africa, and EduAid Africa are responsible for driving and diversifying funding sources across these entities. The role involves securing financial resources through corporate sponsorships, institutional grants, individual giving, crowdfunding, and other innovative fundraising streams.

These individuals will proactively identify funding opportunities, build relationships with donors and sponsors, manage fundraising campaigns, and expand the donor base at global and local levels. The Fundraising Managers will play a crucial role in funding the NESA Africa 2024 Awards, the launch of EduAid Africa, and ongoing projects under SCEF.


Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy Development:
- Design and implement a multi-channel fundraising strategy that includes corporate sponsorships, institutional grants, individual donations, crowdfunding, and other financial streams to support the programs of SCEF, NESA Africa, and EduAid Africa.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align fundraising activities with organizational goals, including the NESA Africa 2024 Awards and the launch of EduAid Africa.

Diversification of Funding Sources:
- Identify and secure diverse funding sources, reducing reliance on a single income stream. This includes corporate partnerships, foundation grants, individual gifts, and international funding bodies.
- Develop targeted fundraising campaigns for specific audiences in the corporate and private sectors.

Corporate Sponsorship Acquisition:
- Design sponsorship packages for the NESA Africa 2024 Awards, leveraging corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs.
- Secure partnerships with companies across sectors to fund SCEF, EduAid Africa, and NESA Africa Awards programs.
- Negotiate with potential sponsors and ensure they receive value and exposure through sponsorship.

Grant Writing and Institutional Funding:
- Research and identify grant opportunities from national, international, and regional donors.
- Prepare and submit grant applications and proposals for SCEF, NESA Africa, and EduAid Africa projects.
- Manage grant administration, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.

Crowdfunding and Individual Giving Campaigns:
- Plan and execute online crowdfunding campaigns through platforms like Getfinance.africa, engaging individuals, community groups, and global supporters.
- Build and manage relationships with individual donors, ensuring ongoing engagement.
- Implement strategies to build a community of recurring donors for sustainable funding.

Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building:
- Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners, maintaining consistent communication and engagement.
- Manage communication with large donors and grant institutions, providing updates on program impact and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with local chapters to support grassroots fundraising efforts.

Program Management and Launch Support:
- Support the launch of EduAid Africa by ensuring developed and sustainable funding streams.
- Assist with the NESA Africa 2024 Awards, securing funding for award categories, media coverage, and event costs.
- Oversee the financial aspects of events and programs, ensuring timely fund acquisition.

Reporting and Monitoring of Fundraising Activities:
- Track and monitor fundraising activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Deliver fundraising reports to senior management, analyzing the performance of different channels and offering recommendations.
- Implement donor engagement tools to manage donor contributions and communication securely.

Marketing and Communication for Fundraising:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and digital outreach strategies for fundraising activities.
- Design campaigns that highlight the impact of SCEF, NESA Africa, and EduAid Africa using storytelling and testimonials to engage donors.
- Integrate social media, email marketing, and digital advertising into fundraising strategies to reach broader audiences.


Key Programs Managed

NESA Africa 2024 Awards:
- Secure sponsorship for 16 award categories, including Best Educational-Friendly State and Best CSR in Education.
- Collaborate with media partners to promote the event and enhance sponsorship visibility.
- Develop a sponsorship tier system (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze) to offer tailored packages.

EduAid Africa:
- Plan and execute fundraising strategies for the launch of EduAid Africa, focusing on ICT certification, scholarships, and digital learning for underserved youth.
- Secure funding for EduAid Africa Conferences and capacity-building programs.

SCEF Ongoing Projects:
- Secure long-term funding for SCEF’s educational, advocacy, and empowerment programs.
- Diversify funding to support local chapter operations and expansion across Africa.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Relations, or related fields.
- Professional certifications in Fundraising Management (preferred).

Experience
- At least 5+ years of experience in fundraising, donor management, or partnership development, preferably within the NGO, education, or corporate sectors.
- Proven record of securing significant funding from diverse sources, including corporate sponsors and grants.
- Experience managing crowdfunding campaigns and digital fundraising initiatives.
- Familiarity with international funding bodies and CSR programs.

Skills
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to design and implement multi-platform fundraising strategies.
- Grant Writing and Sponsorship Acquisition: Proficiency in securing large-scale sponsorships and grants.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills for engaging corporate partners, donors, and sponsors.

- Data-Driven Reporting:Proficiency in using data analysis tools to track fundraising performance.

Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in CRM systems and crowdfunding platforms such as Getfinance.africa, Paystack, and Stripe.
- Knowledge of fundraising software like Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or similar platforms.

- Funding Targets: Achieve or exceed annual fundraising targets.
- Corporate Sponsorships: Secure sponsorships for the NESA Africa 2024 Awards and EduAid Africa programs.
- Grant Success Rate: High success rate in grant applications.
- Donor Retention: Grow the existing donor base through consistent engagement.
- Crowdfunding Results: Exceed targets for online crowdfunding campaigns.

- Willingness to travel across Africa and internationally for donor meetings and fundraising events.
