Job Summary:
The Economist will be responsible for conducting economic research and analysis to inform organizational decision-making and policy development. This includes analyzing economic data, identifying trends, and developing forecasts and models. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in economic theory and research methods, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex economic concepts effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct economic research and analysis on various topics, including economic trends, policy developments, and industry trends.
2. Analyze economic data, identify trends, and develop forecasts and models.
3. Develop and maintain economic models and databases.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate economic analysis into organizational decision-making.
5. Communicate complex economic concepts and research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Prepare reports, briefs, and presentations on economic research and analysis.
7. Stay up-to-date with emerging economic trends and research methodologies.

Qualifications and requirements:
1. BSc in Economics or a related field .
2. At least 5 - 6 years of experience in economic research and analysis.
3. Strong foundation in economic theory and research methods.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to communicate complex economic concepts effectively.
6. Experience with data analysis software (e.g. Stata, R, Python).
7. Strong knowledge of economic data sources and databases.

Other qualities:
1. Experience working in a related industry or sector (e.g. finance, government, academia).
2. Knowledge of data science and machine learning techniques.
3. Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
4. Familiarity with policy analysis and development.
