We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team in a creative industry firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in budgeting, and supporting the finance team with various accounting tasks. You will work closely with senior accountants and financial managers to ensure that the company’s financial operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including preparing and recording financial transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.).
Expense Management: Review, verify, and process invoices, expense reports, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with reconciling general ledger accounts.
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Budgeting Support: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals.
Tax Filing Assistance: Support the preparation of tax documents and liaise with tax consultants or agencies to ensure timely filing and compliance.
Financial Analysis: Provide support in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and offering recommendations for cost savings or improvements.
Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll calculations, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
Compliance and Auditing: Ensure financial processes comply with relevant regulations and standards. Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
Collaboration: Work closely with the creative and production teams to ensure that project budgets are properly tracked and financial reporting reflects accurate spending.
Data Entry and Maintenance: Enter financial data into accounting software and ensure the accuracy of the database.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internships or entry-level roles in the creative industry are a plus).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
