An Investment Portfolio Manager creates and implements investment strategies, makes buy and sell decisions for assets, and manages risk to maximize returns for private or institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Allocation: 1. Build and balance investment portfolios containing stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and alternative securities based on client goals and risk tolerance. 2. Market Analysis: Monitor financial news, economic data, and market trends to forecast performance and identify new opportunities. 3. Client Relations: Meet with investors to review portfolio performance, explain strategies, and adjust targets as needs change. 4. Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure all trades and strategies adhere to regulatory laws and internal investment policies. Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field (Master’s degree).
Experience:
4 to 5 + years of proven experience in financial analysis, asset management, or as an associate portfolio manager.
