Job Title: Shift In-Charge

Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate all activities during the assigned shift, including production, quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and optimal productivity.
• Enforce and promote adherence to safety regulations, procedures, and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns or hazards promptly.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to develop shift production schedules, prioritize orders, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.
• Monitor production processes and product quality closely, conduct regular inspections, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain high-quality standards and minimize defects
• Oversee preventive maintenance activities for machinery and equipment during the shift, coordinate with the maintenance team to address breakdowns or malfunctions promptly, and minimize downtime.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to shift employees, including operators, technicians, and production workers, to foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and maximize performance.
• Identify training needs within the shift team, develop training plans, and facilitate training sessions to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and proficiency in operating machinery and following procedures.
• Track shift performance metrics, analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and achieve production targets.
• Maintain accurate records of shift activities, production outputs, equipment maintenance, and safety incidents. Prepare shift reports, performance summaries, and other documentation as required by management.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste minimization, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the paper manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of paper manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance in a manufacturing setting.
