Job Summary:
The Store/Warehouse Manager will oversee the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring the safe and effective management of inventory, staff, and resources. This role includes supervising daily warehouse activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and accurate inventory records.
• Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations to ensure a high level of productivity and engagement.
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and training to promote a safe working environment.
• Monitor and maintain product quality during storage and handling to prevent damage or spoilage.
• Oversee the maintenance and proper usage of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring all staff are trained in their operation.
• Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, order fulfillment, and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely updates to management.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and warehouse performance metrics for management review.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of inventory management principles, warehouse operations, and safety regulations.
• Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
Working Conditions:
• The role may involve working in a warehouse setting with exposure to various environmental conditions, including temperature variations and noise.
