Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Legal Adviser to join our team as a Corporate Counsel Expert. This role will provide expert legal advice and guidance to our management and staff, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Expert Legal Advice: Offer strategic legal advice to senior management on business matters and transactions.
• Review Contracts and Agreements: Conduct thorough reviews of contracts and agreements, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
• Ensure Compliance: Verify that the company remains compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage Risks: Identify and mitigate legal risks, providing proactive solutions to protect the company's interests.
• Develop Policies: Create and implement effective legal policies and procedures, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.
• Conduct Research: Perform in-depth research and analyze complex legal data to inform business decisions.
• Resolve Disputes: Assist in resolving disputes and litigation, protecting the company's reputation and interests.
• Liaise with Regulatory Bodies: Communicate with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance and maintaining a positive relationship.
• Manage Documents: Oversee the management and maintenance of critical legal documents and records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) and professional certification (e.g., BL, LLM).
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Adviser or in a related role.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional certifications like Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) membership.
