Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and maintain accurate records of all goods in the yard/warehouse.
• Track stock levels and ensure that all items are properly stored and easily accessible.
• Ensure compliance with inventory control systems to minimize loss or damage.
Team Management:
• Manage a team of warehouse staff, including forklift operators, laborers, and other yard personnel.
• Ensure the team follows safety regulations and warehouse operational guidelines.
• Organize training programs for new and existing employees on equipment, safety, and company procedures.
Logistics Coordination:
• Coordinate the timely loading and unloading of goods, ensuring minimal delays.
• Liaise with transport companies, clients, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations.
• Ensure all goods are correctly identified, sorted, and stored in the appropriate locations.
Safety and Compliance:
• Implement and oversee health and safety protocols to prevent accidents in the warehouse or yard.
• Ensure that staff adhere to safety guidelines and that equipment is in good working order.
• Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse and yard to identify hazards or inefficiencies.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance, including stock levels, turnover, and inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of goods handled, including arrivals, dispatches, and returns.
• Oversee the correct documentation of items in transit and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Customer Service:
• Respond to customer queries regarding the availability or condition of products.
• Ensure that products are shipped or received on time to meet customer deadlines.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse management software.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift certification or similar heavy equipment operation experience may be required.
Salary: ₦250,000 - ₦400,000 per month.
