Job Description

CareOne Clinics seeks a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This role plays a critical part in delivering accurate and efficient medical imaging results.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, ultrasounds, and other modalities.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret and prepare imaging results.
  • Conduct various diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, covering abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, vascular, and other specialty areas as needed.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and radiography/sonography standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize imaging services.
  • Ensure clear images for diagnostic purposes and make adjustments to the sonographic equipment when necessary.
  • Monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
  • Present sonograms and preliminary findings to physicians.
  • Complete accurate documentation and maintain patients' histories and medical records.
  • Assist physicians and healthcare teams during invasive procedures.
  • Operate sonography equipment to record and produce images of organs, blood, tissues, or bodily masses.
  • Select the correct equipment settings and adjust to obtain the best angles and sites.
  • Scan patients and observe screens to ensure satisfactory images and make equipment adjustments as needed.
  • Prepare patients for exams and observe during procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Determine the best images to include in reports, noting differences between pathological and healthy areas.
  • Follow safety policies, recognize potential issues, and institute measures to prevent complications.
  • Practice sterile procedures and prevent cross-contamination.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of workstations, rooms, and equipment.
  • Liaise with HOD and consultants on case management, evaluation, and treatment plans.
  • Carry out procedures granted and approved in clinical privilege documents.
  • Deal with patients constructively and honestly, managing their grievances.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical information through continuous education and professional development.
  • Facilitate and present clinical and non-clinical presentations at hospital clinical meetings as assigned.
  • Perform other applicable tasks and duties as assigned by the HOD and Consultant in charge.
