Unlocking Potential in Children and Communities

As a Social & Behavior Change Specialist with UNICEF, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing strategies that promote positive behavior change and social mobilization. This position requires a seasoned professional with expertise in public health, communication planning, and social mobilization.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with national partners to develop and implement effective SBC strategies
• Designing and disseminating high-quality educational materials and programs
• Building and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders and communities
• Providing technical assistance and capacity building to support program implementation
• Contributing to monitoring and evaluation efforts to assess the impact of SBC interventions

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• An advanced degree in a relevant field such as social and behavioral change communication, public health, or related area
• At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in public health and SBC programming
• Strong knowledge of current developments in communication theory, motivational psychology, adult learning theory, and participatory research methods
• Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Fluency in English, with working knowledge of another official UN language an asset
